Why lead with spleen? Spleen is where the iron is. Generally, about 28x more than beef liver alone. That being said, liver has it's own amazing benefits (notably vitamin A and folate), which is why we didn't want to leave it out completely. However, liver is so rich in vitamin A that 40% is plenty. We wanted to create a heme iron blend that is bioavailable, gentler on digestion and 100% straight from nature.
